WHAT TREATMENT IS INCLUDED?
Taking your child along for regular dental check-ups every six months can have a critical effect on their overall oral health. These check-ups provide the opportunity for early detection of any dental issues that may be present in your child’s mouth.
The longer dental problems go untreated, the more severe the impact can be on your child. That’s why regular check-ups are essential for identifying and resolving these issues before they can pose a more serious problem for your child.
The Child Dental Benefit Scheme covers basic dental treatments such as,
- Dental check-ups
- Teeth cleaning & hygiene therapy
- Fluoride applications and fissure sealants
- Fillings & restorations
- Fissure seals or sealants
- Extractions or tooth removal
- Dental infections & emergencies
- Partial dentures
The Child Care Dental program is intended for basic and preventative dental care. Orthodontic and cosmetic procedures are not included in this program. Some codes, will have limitations in use and will be explained by Melbourne Dentist Clinic staff at time of your visit.
